Quest M3 roaster: what does the supplied dial temperature probe measure?
many 'lucky' roasters here have the Quest M3. I got mine yest and will be trying it out soon. Ive gotten expert advice so far from many of you. the dial thermometer supplied, while in the lower L hole measures what? is that in the 'bean mass'? Its hard to tell. Eventually Ill get the

I'm not so sure beans are picky, just different. look at the notes Tom generates at SM. in my case for instance I do not care for central american, except guatemala. and guatemala is my go to bean for by espresso blend and drip. at different roasting levels of course. go figure!

Quest M3 data logging a roast on a Mac
I plan to get the Quest M3 after so much help from many crew members here. I plan to get the Amprobe recommended by Arpi: {link} eventually Ill get the two connectors/probes from EricS after i get used to the machine and he 'restocks' the BT system. I have a MacPro, OS 10.5.8 and 10.6.??

Whats next for me should my iRoast-2 die?
