Ponte Vecchio Lusso Temperature Too Cold
May have miss understood your point but pre heating cups as you imply is actually recommended procedure. If you are pulling a room temperature cup then your espresso is going to be too cool. In other words keep doing what you do! A pstat setting of 1.1 should be ample. Mine is set at 0.8.

Removing a Ponte Vecchio dispersion screen
You have to find the sweet spot with the dispersion screens. Try a largish flat head screwdriver and pry it around the gaps where the portafilter lugs would normally enter. They do pry off eventually

Ponte Vecchio Lusso circuit board meltdown
Hi All My brain on the Lusso has fried. Case and circuit board has melted beautifully, leaving my low water sensor cutout to be on permanently. Anyone know of the circuit board specs/size that would be a suitable replacement? My plan B is to bypass the brain entirely which i might have to do

Owner experience with Londinium I
Thanks for your detailed postings David. I think you have been honourable and fair in your detailed commentary, including reminding us that the key point is the espresso itself. Having said that the build quality is still important when you hit these price points so I for one have appreciated the wa...

Ponte Vecchio Rollcall
Well after nearly 4 years looks like my Lusso's brain has fried up too. Had to happen I guess. I am going to get it fixed. I know I can pretty easily bypass it but having the low water cutoff has saved me quite a few times in the past. And since I am getting it

Anti-Vacuum valve/Olympia Cap for Ponte Vecchio Lusso
At the risk of extreme laziness on my behalf Jack what 'sizes' or 'thread specs' would it need to be? I will then see if I can find some plumbing merchant who has it over here. And oh, I s'pose i better source a cremina boiler cap as well

Anti-Vacuum valve/Olympia Cap for Ponte Vecchio Lusso
Now THAT is a handy mod. I suspect if you haven't been able to find a suitable sleeve Jack then it doesn't exist. Good effort!

Correct there is no sleep cycle. If you are not going to use it for a length of time, say 30 mins, then just turn it off

Max budget $1500 espresso machine/grinder combo advice
Whilst I greatly admire the Pharos and think it gives you unbeatable value at 'Titan' grind quality lets not get too carried away. Without mods such as voodoodaddy, dosing and just getting coffee out of the thing is a PITA. Cranking 3 espressi back to back magnifies this further. Trying to dial in n...
