Baratza Vario grind adjustment not changing output particle size?
Hmm, now I have the same problem with the same description... Got the grinder in April. I gave it a thorough clean and used Grindz as well, but nothing has changed. Happened kind of out of the blue. Freaks me out as I'm in Germany and my German is nowhere good enough to call Mahlkönig up

Doser problem with Gaggia MDF
Hmm, I never had that problem with my MDF. You could try opening it up and have a look. It's fairly easy and gives you a good reason for doing some extra cleaning at the same time! I'm wondering why they would say that though, if it weren't true..?

PID for a Gaggia Coffee make sense?
I'll chip in with my PID experience on a Classic... I've had it for a year now and so far I'm extremely happy. Not because my shots are better than the best before, but by far more constant and no more worries about surfing, which were kind of driving me insane making two servings for myself and my

Alternatives to cow milk
Hmm, you're probably referring to Oatly? The milk itself is delicious, but I haven't been able to produce any foam out of it... It's much better straight actually, than in coffee. Anyways, I have yet to find any better alternative than Provamel Soymilk+Calcium, although I'd rather not have soy, just...

Help with first espresso machine
James, happy for you and your new machine. You're about to embark on a great journey. Funnily enough when my Classic arrived some years ago I ran out and bought what I thought was the best coffee around, Lavazza. I got very frustrated when I found it gave approximately the same results as you descri...

New Gaggia Classic owner -my progress - week 1
Hmm, I don't know about pods, as I've never used them. You probably already know though that a grinder will seriously step up your espresso. Second of all, ditch the 'turbo frother', it's utterly useless! I found many tips saying that the best way to steam on this machine is to start steaming just

Can't Get any Consistency (Good or Bad)
I could be totally wrong, but you might want to check the beans you're using. I usually got a away with most beans on my MDF (at least 10 secs between steps) but one day I got these fabulous brazil beans that were completely between steps, one step a gusher the next a choker. Pissed me considerably ...

How many grams of coffee for Pavoni Pro?
Nice routine! I think I just made my first acceptable cup of espresso, thanks to the routine, from an old LP Pro. It's been sitting unused for a long time and I had completely given up on it. I pulled it out and cleaned it and bumped into this thread. There's no way

The Gaggia MDF stepless mod with pictures
So I decided to make my Gaggia MDF stepless the other day. I'd never really thought about it until I bought these very nice Brazil Santos beans that tasted delicious at my roaster's coffeeshop, but turned out to be between steps on the grinder. So I set off on a journey to find the best way and sett...
