Baratza Vario Grinder - Second Look

The entire PF holder unit can also be slid out some if that helps. It was designed to be able to do this. I am not using the PF holder any more as found grinds were coming out with such speed they bounced off an almost full PF and shot across the counter. It was ok when the PF was

Baratza Vario Grinder - Second Look

Sounds like it might be adjusted correctly to me. I do mine on the filter setting for espresso. I posted earlier on how to check the grinds calibration. This grinder is very capable of doing turkish grind. With both levers all the way down empty out the coffee, move the right lever all the way to th...

Quick and Quiet Espresso

Grinder wise I have the new Baratza Vario and it sounds like my dish washer when it is running (which is for 8 seconds). An even quieter and quicker choice would be to use ESE Pods for your coffee. I have a new version Breville 800ESXL which is frowned on by this forum but I happen to like it

Baratza Vario Grinder - First Look

I also have the new vario and have been in touch with the designing engineer of this grinder. My distribution is towards the front center of my portafilter which is a 51MM. The Vario was designed for a 58mm portafilter. I was told that the portafilter holder assembly does not need to be shoved all t...

Baratza Vario Grinder - First Look

I got my new Vario when I got home and unpacked it. It was in a big box with 6 inches of peanuts around the smaller Baratza box which in itself had another box inside, very well packed. Took awhile to get the hopper on as no instructions included and didn't want to break anything but finally got the

Chris's Coffee received their shipment of Varios this morning and are shipping them out this afternoon. Fortunately I checked with them by phone as they never received my email response to them that reauthorized the purchase. People expecting one might double check

Baratza Vario Grinder - First Look

Chris's Coffee sent me an email to see if I still wanted my Vario grinder. I told them yes. They are shipping tomorrow (26th). Somehow I had the impression that the first units were being drop shipped directly from Baratza
