2lb cast iron drum home roaster

Hi there. This is going to be the official placement of the roaster. The last roast I did had a first crack under 10 minutes and the flavour had lots of chocolate (Colombia Red Ecolsierra). I learnt it made a difference in flavour the rotating direction of the drum. The beans stay to the front or to...

Artisan spikes

The graph posted above shows a variation of BT temperature but a smoother ET temperature. I see no error. Delta BTs are actually high frequency filters and are amplified on a different scale (right scale). Thus, making the spikes above normal. Cheers

Best pourover brewer

The filter can make a big different in speed and results. If you use a filter with vertical ridges, it will pour faster (shorter duration) as the water will channel through the wall. For example, Kalita filters have ridges and the results are not as good as with flat filters (longer extractions). Th...

I've lost that line graph at the top of Artisan

The wheel graphs are there to select coffee flavours and aromas. But you have to make your own graph to avoid possible conflicts. For example, {link} It could be used for other similar purposes too. For example, they are used for wine and beer too. You should be able to pick elements and send them t...

Can we plot an ideal delta BT in Artisan?

Hi. The variable for the background BT is B2. If you load a background (with a desired BT), you can display the deltaBT of the background in an LCD with a virtual device defined with the formula: 60*(B2-B2[-1])/(t-t[-1]) Cheers

2lb cast iron drum home roaster

Hi. There would be a difference of forces on the bearings, tension versus compression. But for this very small load, the bearings should be fine upside down. Cheers

I've lost that line graph at the top of Artisan

Hi JavaMD. If you open the Wheel called 'flavordefects.wg' you will get the idea. But it is only approximated. To open the file, first go to the menu and open the WheelGraph editor: /Tools/Wheelgraph Then, from the editor, open the file called flavordefects.wg that is located in the artisan installa...

Can we plot an ideal delta BT in Artisan?

Hi. To get an LCD you need a virtual device. There are different ways to go about it. You could do the deltaBT of a loaded background as a virtual device You could do the delta of an Ln formula in a virtual device You could do an explicit math formula in a virtual device.

2lb cast iron drum home roaster

This is a roast from today with new air intake hole (more hot air). I did move the proves a little. Note that they don't reflect BT, only ~ intake and exhaust. Haven't tried the new table and burner yet as I am waiting for a better LP supply line. There is a difference in taste when compared to the
