Knob to Joystick conversion?

One thing to keep in mind (depending on which machine you have), is that the Knob -> Joystick conversion on some machines like the Duetto II means that the steam wand won't clear the drip tray anymore (so I've heard). I like to purge my wand right into the tray so that's a dealbreaker for me. The Jo...

Izzo Alex Duetto steam boiler leak?

After seeing this, I emailed Chris's to see if I could source a replacement valve since my machine would hiss and had a slow leak when the steam boiler was on. Sure enough they had one in the mail to me the next day. Replacement took about 5 minutes. The replacement valve is a different design and i...

Anyone using the Orphan Espresso dosing funnels ?

I've been using one with my LM baskets for a couple years now, I love it. Really helps cut down on spillage, and makes dosing directly into my PF a little easier

TONX: New, subscription-based "artisanal coffee" by mail

Izzo Alex Duetto 15 amps vs. 20 amps mode

No issues running in 15 amp mode here. When I have the opportunity to run a dedicated 20 amp circuit, I will, but in the mean time I don't feel like I'm missing anything

Anybody try cold brewed coffee?

Please keep us apprised of your findings. In the past I've sort of half-assed my cold brew, tossing a cup (gasp) of french press grind in my press, throw the lid on and let it sit on the counter for overnight (at least 12 hours), then pressing it and transferring it to a mason jar. I typically find ...

Anybody try cold brewed coffee?

I've been eyeballing the Hario "Cold Water Coffee Dripper" lately: {link} Looks pretty sweet. Expensive, but I might take the plunge. I typically cold brew in my french press, but I like the idea behind the drippers a lot
