Do you drink more or less now that you've gone over to the dark side?
I have noticed that since I got into "specialty coffee" I am drinking much less coffee. Far better coffee, obviously, but not nearly in as large quantities. I used to drink at least two full pots of auto-drip a day. Now I might drink a couple of doubles and at the most three cups of AP/FP/Clever/Che...

Hand grinder for $100 or less
The Hario Skerton ({link}) is another possibility. I have never used one, but both Mark Prince and Tom Owen seem to like it. Supposedly, it grinds fine enough for espresso

May I suggest a trip to Octane (octanecoffee.com IIRC). You'll definitely get great espresso there. If you're ever down towards Griffin, the Safehouse (dirtycup.com) is apparently doing some interesting stuff, though I've never been there myself

Getting started with the Baratza Vario
oops, sorry about that Dan. Yes, Keith very little clumping, etc - but, as a minor issue, I have found that grinding straight into the PF has been rather messy, I have lost up to 2g at times onto the counter (yes, I did weigh it). This might be because of my small PF;
