Getting rid of gear: where have you had luck?

Thanks to all who replied. As part of a "selling stuff" phase, I need to move some other gear out of my garage (bikes, kayaks, SUPs, etc.) so a more general marketplace will be my first stop. Good to hear of some positive Craig's List experiences. I'll give it a try. Facebook Marketplace too

Getting rid of gear: where have you had luck?

Thank you to both BaristaBoy and Ira. As far as gear I'm trying to move, I have a near brand new La Cimbali Junior Max grinder, as well as a never used (brand new in box) Kinu M47 Classic. I hope that info helps!

Getting rid of gear: where have you had luck?

Been a LONG time since I was last active on HB. My coffee routine is pretty well set now with my roasting, brewing, etc., so I've just moved on to other passions (read: drains on both time and money!). Pocket knives, backpacking, photography... so much else. As part of my other passions, and the fac...

MadeByKnock Aerspeed compact manual grinder

As CathyWeeks reported, Knock seems to have an in with flaming-fast shipping. Maybe it's the jet stream between Scotland and the US. Ordered on a Wednesday, and received it, in California, the next Monday. Thanks Knock! Haven't had a chance to use it yet, but my first impressions are good. Solid, sm...

MadeByKnock Aerspeed compact manual grinder

Anymore feedback on the Aerspeed? I'm on the fence as far as buying one for my travel kit in which I'm currently using, and pretty darn happy with a 60-70 year old Geska manual grinder out of Germany. The Geska is fast, light and produces an excellent Aeropress cup. My interest in the Aerspeed (or A...

Orphan Espresso Carbon Fibre hand grinder "Fixie"

Been gone a LONG time, but getting a video recommendation on YouTube for the FIXIE brought me back to see if there was any chatter about it. Coincidentally, a recent job promotion will see me traveling more, and I'd just done some work to make my existing travel kit even more compact. Gonna be inter...

Origin - The Ultimate Coffee Brew Stand (Kickstarter)

Agreed! An OE pour-over stand. In keeping with your hand grinder theme, how about calling it the OE "Hand Stand"? Design it to incorporate a scale for brew measuring by weight, and you'd have something I'd certainly be interested in. On another OE note, my Lido 2 #1 just rolled past 2 years on the o...

Origin - The Ultimate Coffee Brew Stand (Kickstarter)

With Kickstarter, you help fund a new product and get that new product at a discounted price for doing so. A project has a funding goal, and if that goal is not achieved, the project is not funded, and does not happen. Some decent ideas come along, as do ideas that just never go anywhere. I've not b...

Origin - The Ultimate Coffee Brew Stand (Kickstarter)

Shipping to the US is 12 Pounds, or roughly $18. I do agree that a stand really isn't essential, though when I'm not wanting to measure or weigh water, it does provide convenient visibility of volume brewed. I'll still measure coffee, and because I use the same cup to brew into, I can eyeball my typ...
