Steaming milk with 4-hole tip on '83 Olympia Cremina?

Hi Roger - thanks for your suggestion. Making the steam power weaker means taking longer time to get the frothing job done which might not be the best for my current usage. However, it's an interesting thought! Thanks

Steaming milk with 4-hole tip on '83 Olympia Cremina?

Hi Sam, Thanks again. This is very helpful and keeps my hope. I would hate to let it go for not being able to make the frothing milk work. One more dummy question - Do I just apply the steam wand pressure gauge to the steam wand with tip on and then turn the steam all the

Steaming milk with 4-hole tip on '83 Olympia Cremina?

Hi Sam, Many thanks for your reply. Glad to learn that you have found a way to solve it. I completely understand the frustration which I am going through now as it's just so so so easy to get the excellent silky milk done with both of Elektra Semiauto (sold) and A3 (my current go-to machine). I will

Steaming milk with 4-hole tip on '83 Olympia Cremina?

Hi Sam, Did you solve the problem of having the small bubbles? I have a Maximatic and am having the same issue. I used to own an Elektra Semiauto and it's so easy to forth milk properly with silky and excellent microfoam result. Since Maximatic is usually put in the same class as Elektra Semiauto, I...

New Mahlkonig K30 Upgraded Grind Chamber

For whoever is interested to know - I bought the upgrade kit (chamber only, $149 plus shipping) from Mahlkonig for my 2008 version K30 last week and installed it yesterday. In terms of the clumping, it's like day and night to me. No clumps at all and very fluffy. More important is that since there i...

I love my Cimbali Max Hybrid, but . . . I got a "new" Mahlkönig Vario

Marshall and Jon, Thank you both again for sharing your thoughts. I want to make it clear that I have NO intention to put any mark on any grinder or to find a "perfect" grinder. Maybe my question was too broad and probably somehow misused "flavor profile". I simply want to know the difference of fla...

I love my Cimbali Max Hybrid, but . . . I got a "new" Mahlkönig Vario

Thanks again. I agree that the testing is subjective. However, I believe people on this forum would all agree that different grinders produce different flavor and some would also agree conical burrs and flat burrs emphasize different flavors from the same beans. The subjective parts should be one li...

I love my Cimbali Max Hybrid, but . . . I got a "new" Mahlkönig Vario

Thank you. I wish I had the opportunity to try out any of these high-grade grinders, and I am sure it would be wonderful experience to improve my sense of taste. So far I only experienced SJ, Elektra MSC, Cimibali Jr., and CMH, and the flavor difference from them are quite distinctive even in a 2:1 ...
