Auto Tamp
I ordered it from Chris Coffee along with a few other Elektra items. Please be aware that the Elektra tamper is not chrome but polished stainless steel. Not that this is a bad thing, but it is not as sparkly as on the photo. Workmanship and functionality are top notch though. Peace, Oliver

Cappuccino procedure for large single boiler machine?
Actually, a boiler measuring just 6 inches in diameter and 4 inches high would hold 2 liters. Seems not so unlikely given the size of the Mini Verticale. I agree, that there will be limitations as to what this machine can do. Will I (or by PF-wielding partner) ever exceed it's limits - only time wil...

Hi I'm EL8ED - I am an Elektra-holic...
Congratulations to your new Mini Verticale. The decision for the Elektra Grinder was purely on looks. As far as I know they are built by Macap, but I could be wrong there. I'd be very interested how you like the MV once it's hooked up. Do you have any photos to post? Cheers, Oliver

Cappuccino procedure for large single boiler machine?
What would be your recommended procedure/timing/sequence for making cappuccino (latte art?) on a single boiler machine with a fairly large (2 liter) boiler like the Elektra Mini Verticale. The Elektra manual (courtesy of Elektra Australia) recommends steaming the milk first. This would bring the mac...

Hi I'm EL8ED - I am an Elektra-holic...
Woofy, I'll have a special, comfortable jacket for you ready if you ever choose to be in the neighborhood... It'll be a while till everything gets here. I cheaped out on the shipping, so the Mini will have a nice and leisurely sea journey. The things we do for our favorite coffee gear... Cheers, Oli...

Auto Tamp
No experience with AutoTamp, but I think it looks odd and I am sceptical about the consistency of a simple spring mechanism producing repeatable tamp pressure. That said, I grew up in Vienna/Austria area coffee houses where auto tampers are standard issue, at least in the better, high traffic ones. ...

Hi I'm EL8ED - I am an Elektra-holic...
We haven't actually seen the MV yet. Is it as stunning in person as on the photos? We always wanted an espresso machine in the Belle Epoque design but never saw one that would fit the space and practical requirements of our home. After learning about the MV it was Mark's write-up about the SA, a ver...

Hi I'm EL8ED - I am an Elektra-holic...
Hi, My wife and I just placed an order for a brand new all Elektra espresso setup. It will be replacing an aging but still kicking Faema Family (after 15 years of service). It's gonna be a while till it gets here - not your usual "in-stock" items: Mini Verticale chrome Grinder chrome Dinamometric Ta...
