What to do about newbie noise
Reading on espresso can be overwhelming at first. I can understand how anyone would love to get quick payback on a large investment. I suspect that those who can't be bothered to learn about what they buy, whether it'd be a digital camera, a musical instrument or an espresso machine eventually give ...

The craziest %#*$ing thing I've seen all day...
Now, perhaps if a machine could log a bunch of temperature and pressure sensors, show you a graph while pouring coffee, calculating the crema factor, and compute channeling anomalies... we might have a real product on our hand I got a feeling though that a lot of these high tech products are very mu...

How to prepare Turkish coffee
What is the best material for a cezve? Copper? Stainless steel? I was thinking of getting one this afternoon, but those I saw at the grocery store seemed to be made out of aluminum (which for some reason turned me off)

The craziest %#*$ing thing I've seen all day...
Oh yes, I'm fluent in French, so I understood the words. But it seemed somewhat misleading. The seller calls it a coffee maker (cafetiere). It would have been more accurate to call it a decorative dome, or a espresso maker ornament. To be fair, he does claim that it is aimed at collectors and/or tha...
