It's THE Salvatore that I might like to get as a move-up from the manual lever machines that I've owned. I'm looking to make great caps and lattes. alias 'kokopuffs' from some other universe, BDL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow, when I owned a Sama I simply pulled the lever, fully, once and got around 1 oz give or take and you've just demonstrated what it really takes to pull a 'real' shot. Thanks for the info. ++1 And may I recommend checking out the Bosco unit. Awesome looking! Here:{link} Best, -T

How to know grinder burrs are worn out?
Perhaps with female threads require thread chasing, cleaning out (realigned) using what's called a BOTTOMING TAP from a tap and die set. Or the screws' length may be too long and deforms when they touch bottom. Be advised that I indicated a bottoming tap as described here: {link}

My experience with the Whirlypop popcorn popper matches Wenxell's. Now, using an electric oven set to 5.5/9, I preheat my Whirlypop for around 6 minutes before pouring in 300g (2/3 pound) of green beans. 1C occurs around 5-6 minutes followed by 2C at around 7-8 minutes. Somewhere either at HB or Coffeegeek someone posted that after roasting to espresso stage, the beans are allowed to set for either ten days or two weeks prior to grinding and brewing in order to develop a certain flavor profile. FWIW
