Auto-tuning the XMT7100 PID controller
Has anyone had any experience with the XMT7100 PID controller? I have got it working after a fashion, but it is not behaving in the same way as the Watlow 935 that it replaced. The set point seems to be very much a notional concept to it; the temperature varies a lot around it.

Problems setting up an XMT7100 PID controller
Erm, I think I've found the problem. It appears that the thermocouple wires had become crossed where they feed into the back of the PID, so it was getting the temperature at the PID, not the boiler temperature. I don't have time to complete the autotune to see if it works, but I will report back

Problems setting up an XMT7100 PID controller
I have just bought an XMT7100 PID controller and am trying to set it up on the steam boiler of my Linea 1ee. I have configured the thermocouple type and am getting what seem to be meaningful temperature readings from it. (215-219 degrees F) I have set the set value as 215. The problem is

La Marzocco Linea making weird noises when filling steam boiler
Hi Mitch, the solenoid for the steam boiler will be a 2 way solenoid because it just has to turn flow on or off, not vent pressure as the three- way brewing one does. If you were to cap the 3rd outlet, you could probably use it for the steam fill. About the only other thing

La Marzocco Linea Restore - Serious Issues
Regarding the snapped stud; just to confirm; is your boiler the one with studs welded to the boiler and nuts tightening down, or the earlier design with bolts that go through the group and the boiler to tighten onto nuts inside the boiler? If the first you may, as you say be able to get your welder ...

Anyone ever seen one of these?
doubleOsoul, you seem to have the right name to be appreciating a machine called a Double O; which came first? (Unless it refers to a Martin OO)

Convert La Marzocco Linea AV Group to Paddle Group
Hi Blu, I have tried the piero cap mod at Kaffee Netz. It works pretty well, but anybody contemplating it must be sure they get suitable silicone tubing to link the cap to the dispersion block. This is the trickiest part of the job - making the tube long enough to allow assembly, but not

Convert La Marzocco Linea AV Group to Paddle Group
Hi Mayhem, I'm keen on one as well; depending on postage to New Zealand. Please could you give me a link to the particular switch so I can see if it will fit my Linea? I have the old-style big switches
