Fiorenzato Bricoletta pump not working

Thanks for the tip..I'll give it a try. Normally when I turn it on in the morning the pump kicks on for a second or two, It doesn't do anything at start up and clearly nothing when I pull the arm. I bought the machine back in 2005 so I doubt it's under warranty but I will check

Fiorenzato Bricoletta pump not working

I turned on my Bricoletta today and it seems as though the pump is no longer working. The boiler still works fine as the water heated and made steam to froth but when I pull the lever I get nothing but the pressure from the water line, the pump does not turn on. Any suggestions I should try before

La Marzocco ''Regular'' Portafilter or Naked Portafilter?

I received the portafilter 2 days ago and have had varying success. The very first shot I pulled was the best one so far...by far? Just curious as to how long I should allow for extraction for the triple shot basket? I read the articles in the resource section but have found that mainly for ristrett...

La Marzocco ''Regular'' Portafilter or Naked Portafilter?

I'm looking to upgrade my stock portafilter for my Bric. Based on the review Chris did I'm looking at the La Marzocco, I'm just wondering whether to go naked or traditional? I've had my Bric for about 3 months and have noticed my shot extraction can be uneven at times, meaning the left stream comes ...

Fiorenzato Bricoletta, steam tips and insulating boiler

This may be a stupid question but.....did you insulate the boiler primarily for performance enhancements or energy savings or both? I recall a conversation with Jim at 1st-line when I bought the machine that air flow could be impacted by insulating the boiler and potentially harm the "brain". I don'...

Sad State of Commercial Espresso

I stumbled across two articles that may be of interest or may be common knowledge to the more experienced espresso aficionados but either way they were interesting to me. The first is a link to an article called "Starbucks Economics" which talks about the margin side of the business while sacrificin...

How to make cafe cremas

In the "Resource" section under "Getting Started" is a link called the "Espresso Guide". It gives a brief history of espresso and how the term was coined and what the drink is today

Bricoletta Vs. Bezzera BZ35

I'm relatively new to the Prosumer market but I purchased a direct connect bric w. rotary pump about a month ago and I love it. I previously had a super-automatic and didn't realize how crappy the espresso was until I upgraded. With a lot of reading and practice I've been able to pull shots better t...
