15 grams should be (more than) enough but you probably need a grinder that grind much more finely. I'd guess you also need to replace whichever seal is allowing water to pass out of the group head with the lever in the down position

Life is too short to drink stale coffee. However you prepare your coffee, I'm sure it would taste better if it wasn't stale
