Newbie problems on Rancilio Silvia with fast pours

Since I started this thread, I thought I'd wrap it up by saying that the advice to get newer beans was spot on! I went to Cartel Coffee Lab today in Tempe, had a very enjoyable chat with Jason who sold me his "Black Market" beans. I also had a macchiato while I waited. It was absolutely

Grinder settings for drip/French press/perc

Hi, I'm busy using my new Rocky doserless to make espresso, but I'd love to get some ideas on some baseline grind settings for drip, French press and a big-party percolator. Newbie problems on Rancilio Silvia with fast pours

I did pick up a couple of pounds at two places this afternoon, who claim their beans are under a week old from local roasters. I'll try those out tonight. After checking out

Newbie problems on Rancilio Silvia with fast pours

That's a good point, and I will try another coffee. I do not know about this coffee. Although this coffee is from a local roaster, I bought it from another distributor. It could be older. I will do some searching and try a newer coffee. Perhaps that may be my whole problem. (I hope

Newbie problems on Rancilio Silvia with fast pours

Okay. So I've had a DeLonghi for many years and decided to move on up. Spent countless hours researching many machines and decided on the Silvia and Rocky combo which I bought from 1st Line, since that was within my price point range. I enjoy cooking and trying new things, adjusting different techni...
