New grinder recommendations needed!

Thank you for the recommendations! I was looking at the Smart Grinder Pro, but was wondering about it's overall durability? I know I'm totally grabbing at straws when it comes to this price point, I'm just hoping the burrs aren't driven by a bunch of plastic gears in any of the grinders at this leve...

New grinder recommendations needed!

Hello fellow coffee enthusiasts! My coworker's wife is looking for her first budget espresso machine and grinder setup. I've already sourced a great starter machine for her, the Starbucks Barista (manufactured by Saeco) with the pressurized portafilter. I've had great success with mine over the year...

La Pavoni Europiccola (1991) newbie with massive problems

It sounds like you're getting things figured out with the LP. The Millennium was my first experience with a lever machine, now I've added the Eurobar from LaPavoni to my collection and i appreciate the differences between the machines. I'm late to this post, but I was going to add that grams of bean...

La Pavoni grouphead/ shower screen poor water flow

Hello Kunal, Thanks for posting the video, I've had the same issue with my Millennium Europiccola too! I've never pulled the piston sleeve on my machine and was wondering if something was plugged on my machine? I'll try pulling the screen on my machine and test it tomorrow to see if this fixes mine ...

Leveler tamp or no tamp?

I always tamp. From my experience using dark roast coffee it seems like the extraction is too quick if I don't tamp, but with a medium roast I can possibly get away without tamping because the density seems different? With lighter roasts it seems like I can more easily choke my machines off, so dosi...

La Pavoni Millennium Piston & Sleeve "Upgrade?"

Thank you all for your advice and weighing in on this question. I've also thought about galvanic corrosion with the SS sleeve, but now that I think of it, the two bolts that secure the grouphead to the boiler appear to be stainless steel and they haven't seized up on my machine so who knows? One que...

La Pavoni Millennium Piston & Sleeve "Upgrade?"

Hello Everyone, I'm pondering an upgrade to my older Millennium. I've had my Millennium for about 8 years, purchased it off eBay. It's had a bunch of use. Most of the service I've done has been removing the piston to clean and lubricate the gaskets when there's noticeably more friction when pulling ...

Advice for a restoration lever machine?

I agree with Jack & Gary, all great suggestions. I'm relatively new to the game myself compared to some of the masters in this forum. I'm in the process of restoring a 1975 LaCimbali M15 lever, the same group used on the M20 lever machines. In retrospect I think a good place to start is to create

Recommended Portable Hand Grinder For On The Go?

Hey Everyone, So just a follow up on my original post. I've now used the Knock "Honed" grinder for several months and I'm really impressed with the performance and consistency of this hand grinder. Knock has created a beautiful, functional piece of art and the build quality of this grinder is phenom...
