Best Pour Over Brew Grinder under $400?
Thanks for the feedback so far! Scooping out and weighing the beans won't bother her at all since she has me make her coffee The Ode looks fantastic and even the v2 looks like it falls in my price range new (although I'll take a refurb for less if possible), but the one catch

Best Pour Over Brew Grinder under $400?
Hi all, I need to pick up a new brew grinder and am arbitrarily setting a price of $400 because I went under $200 last time and felt the build quality was too cheap and sure enough it is having troubles just a few years later. TLDR - what powered grinders are great choices for dark roasts under $400

Travel grinder that fits in AeroPress?
Thanks for the replies so far. By the way, I'm an idiot - now that I think about it the grinder that I want to upgrade is the Porlex Mini, not a Hario. It would be perfect for camping especially if hiking in the sense that it is super light and does a sufficient job grinding

Travel grinder that fits in AeroPress?
I have an AeroPress / Hario combination for travel, but while the Hario does fine it is not much fun to use - takes too many cranks and the handle is short enough that there isn't much leverage and it just feels like grinding even 14g's takes a lot of work. For context I have an original

What do you like about light roasts?
I think it would be a very good idea to try cupping the coffees. That way you know roughly what the coffee should taste like without fear that you are pulling it wrong and creating off flavors. If you really dislike it when you cup it then there is no point in pulling shots of that coffee unless

Hand grinder for pour over perhaps $100-$400 budget?
I am looking for advice on a grinder for a friend who already has a Porlex and Hario, but wants something faster. (I have a Hario for travel -back when people actually got on planes and traveled - and an original Lido and the ease and speed of grinding with the Lido for a crowd relatively speaking is

Lunar Scale Owners- which of the six modes do you use?
Sure enough I left the scale on to test the shut off function and now with the update that feature works so the results of this thread are just getting better and better for me (I wish they'd told me these things when I called their technical support and asked a couple years ago)!

Lunar Scale Owners- which of the six modes do you use?
It definitely was not doing what it was programmed to do for auto shut off even when the sensitivity was set to a very high value. I had just assumed I'd gotten a lemon. I did not realize there was an updater app until I saw this thread so it is possible they fixed it in the updated

Lunar Scale Owners- which of the six modes do you use?
Wow, what a helpful thread. It is crazy that the app on the phone does not allow you to set sensitivity. I liked that the scale has lasted where cheaper scales kept breaking due to water damage, but I could only use the lunar as a "dumb" scale since the self timer for espresso - the added feature

Monolith Flat and Light Roasted Coffees
Michael, in answer to your question on the flat I've tried essentially the lightest roasts I could find from George Howell, Stumptown, Counter Culture, and today I'll add Olympia Sweetheart and Halo thanks to this thread. I actually started a thread here a couple months ago in hopes of hearing about...
