Pavoni Pub S Repair Question

OK. That makes sense that there must have been an obstruction. Because the noise has not happened again since that one time. I have not run any descaler through the HX. How do I do that? As far as the pressure, it reads about 5 bar while idle. Most of the time it does

Pavoni Pub S Repair Question

I think it's a 3/8 ID tube on the water line. The pressure gauge usually reads about 5 bar. But I am not so confident on that. Is it possible that the pressure way too high? The sound seemed to come from the group. Also, can you fill me in on the auto fill valve? Does this

Pavoni Pub S Repair Question

I am restoring a Pavoni Pub S. Actually, it only needed some minor cleaning to get it running. But this morning I noticed that when the machine is fully heated, the pump periodically kicks on with a bit more noise than normal. Its very quick on and off again. Is that normal with this machine?

Does anyone know about "Mr. Espresso" machines?

Well, Jason, you were right. After a bit more research, and contacting Mr. Espresso in Oakland, CA, I discovered that they put their own label on machines made by other manufacturers. In fact, mine is an Astoria. I talked with a service tech who is getting additional info for me

Why am I getting NO crema?

Well, you guys could not have been more right. I went down the street here in Portland, OR to Ristretto Roasters {link} and bought their espresso blend. Roasted on site this last Friday. Should it be more fresh than that? Perhaps they could roast it while I wait. The result......LOTS OF CREMA

Why am I getting NO crema?

OH!, I see. Yes, it has one hole in the bottom. Geez, I thought I was just great at producing crema....how humbling OK, there is a roaster down the block. I am going to try out his stuff. Thanks. Also, what controls the brew pressure on commercial machines?

Why am I getting NO crema?

That is good info, so I will attempt to answer each... 1. Same coffee is being used between both machines. And I just bought it. So it is relatively fresh (i.e. i did not roast it myself) 2. I dont think my little home machine has a presurized portafilter. Just one like any other home machine. 3

Why am I getting NO crema?

I am trying out a new (to me) 1 group commercial espresso machine. Everything works great, but, when I pull a shot, it comes out with absolutely no crema. When I use the same coffee on my little home machine......lots of crema. What is the deal?

Does anyone know about "Mr. Espresso" machines?

Anyone know anything about these machines? I have a used machine and can't find much info. A copy of a user manual would be great

La Cimbali Junior Troubleshooting

My apologies...I mis-interpreted the title of the web-site. By all accounts, it appears I should put this thing back together and take it to a service/repair shop
