Your top two picks for HX and double boiler espresso machines
+1 on the Quickmill Vetrano. This is my current machine and has been my favorite to date. If plumbing in is an issue than I would look towards the Izzo Alex which gives you the option of plumbed or tank operation

Rotary pump inlet pressure
When I was testing these pressure settings my brew pressure gauge was originally settled on 8 bar. If I use a backflush disk or during a shot my brew pressure reads 8.5 bar after the pre-infusion and slight ramp up in pressure but, with an unimpeded flow it measures 8 bar. Rotary pump inlet pressure
Ok, I followed your advice on running this test and here are the results. I normally run my pumps output at 8.5 bar of pressure. When doing a simple flush I was reading 8 bar of pressure. Going up through the higher inlet pressures here is what happened. 2.0 Bar - No Change 2.5 Bar - No Change 3.0

Coffee Klatch Sweet 16 Anniversary Blend and Impanema Dulce
I was wondering if anyone has tried this newer blend from Klatch and if so what did you think of it? I prefer very thick and chocolately espresso and was told to try this bean so I am looking for input before I try it. Was also wondering if anyone has tried the Impanema Dulce also from Klatch

$550 grinder, $250 espresso machine... make sense?
Absolutely !!! It has been said time and time again on here you can do better with a good grinder and poor machine than with a poor grinder and good machine. Get the better grinder and start saving for the better machine so when you catch your case of upgradeitus ( and you will ) you will be prepared

Grinder for turkish coffee and espresso

La Scala Butterfly- Pstat broken?
Sorry about my previous post as I should have asked what kind of pstat you had ( or just looked at the post with the link in it ) I completley missed the fact that you had posted pictures of the machine. I don't believe the ma-ter pstats can be cleaned as you can with others that have exposed contacts
