Weber Workshops UNIBASKET grounds stuck

I'll complicate super easy a bit with a question : do you refer to spraying the empty basket inside and out while lodged in PF handle? Or using force oif steam through the basket to push the stuck out ? That sounds messy. I tried using the basket clip less. That was a PITA because

Weber Workshops UNIBASKET grounds stuck

My unibasket loves the spent puck. Quite hard to separate. Having a clip in place makes pounding it out quicker but compared to EP precision, ims and VST baskets I have used before, there's more work and time in that regard. Maybe it's the straighter walls that causes it

Decent Espresso news

I think you want the breaker just a little above the likely draw of the appliance. I had mine decreased to 20 amp since my espresso machine wouldn't draw that much. My friend has a line with 2 instant heat water heaters, 100 amp breaker. That much current draw gives me the willies, but if the water

Espresso tourism in and around Beverly Hills

Really great espressophotojournalism. Thanks! I may be mistaken but the star of the show, G & B, has the Kent Bakke machine with the slide in portafilters. Hard to be certain from the photograph, but it looks like that to me

Beanconqueror - App

Thanks, Lars, for the continued work on Beanconqueror. I like that I can link the Decent scale to it and tare from the app. It makes pre-weighing espresso doses easier than taring on the scale directly

EHuky drum roaster - second try project

Interesting consideration. Each separate element is about 15 ohm By my math the 3 parallel sets of {2 elements in series} on 120 V is 1440 watts. OR 2 sets of {3 elements in series} on 240 V is 2560 watts. I suppose the cumulative power through the elements and resulting heat determines the lifespan...

EHuky drum roaster - second try project

This is a good question. I don't have specifications for the elements I sourced like if I could find such perhaps on Grainger, McMaster-Carr or Omega Engineering. The 6 inch elements measure at 14.6 ohm and the 8 inch are 15 ohm. I could use 240 power but I plan to go with the 120

EHuky drum roaster - second try project

I built a wood fired bread oven. It's a pleasure to use, but a more conventional pompei style oven or really a mini deck oven with steam injector would have been better in retrospect. Tinker & learn seems to be the way. Although propane or LNG may be the cleanest fossil fuel, it seems our solar
