Beanconqueror - App
Thanks, Lars, for the continued work on Beanconqueror. I like that I can link the Decent scale to it and tare from the app. It makes pre-weighing espresso doses easier than taring on the scale directly

EHuky drum roaster - second try project
Interesting consideration. Each separate element is about 15 ohm By my math the 3 parallel sets of {2 elements in series} on 120 V is 1440 watts. OR 2 sets of {3 elements in series} on 240 V is 2560 watts. I suppose the cumulative power through the elements and resulting heat determines the lifespan...

EHuky drum roaster - second try project
This is a good question. I don't have specifications for the elements I sourced like if I could find such perhaps on Grainger, McMaster-Carr or Omega Engineering. The 6 inch elements measure at 14.6 ohm and the 8 inch are 15 ohm. I could use 240 power but I plan to go with the 120

EHuky drum roaster - second try project
I built a wood fired bread oven. It's a pleasure to use, but a more conventional pompei style oven or really a mini deck oven with steam injector would have been better in retrospect. Tinker & learn seems to be the way. Although propane or LNG may be the cleanest fossil fuel, it seems our solar

EHuky drum roaster - second try project
Thanks for the comments. The heat gun parts have served for some cool homemade roasters & handheld roasting too. I'm no Einstein (neither is e), but I hold plenty of thought experiments over this thing. That's better than counting sheep to get to sleep at night. Currently how to wire the elements fo...

EHuky drum roaster - second try project
Here's the progress so far in ipic: {image} Here we have my basement roasting corner, my gas powered Huky going strong now almost 10 years, profiled across TC4 and Artisan with a DC fan in the former furnace exhaust, also controlled by Artisan. I was able to acquire a Huky that needed some work (thank

Filter 2.1 brewing (Decent DE1)
I may google ICBINF or just keep wondering. On Filter Decent profiles: my wife enjoys one latte and one black coffee most mornings. She calls her black coffee made on espresso machine 'americano' and I haven't told her how I make it. I've made Filter 2.x generally for over a year for that cup. If
