Steamed milk has little to no taste now...

Thanks everyone for the advice. I usually use Horizon Organic whole or a local Organic Whole milk. I think the problem may be my thermometer. I usually stop around 130 so that the temp settles around 140...but I tried stopping around 120 and the milk had some of that sweet custardy smell and taste t...

Steamed milk has little to no taste now...

I use a steaming thermometer and get it to 140 to 150F...and the milk tastes fine cold...The espresso tastes fine...no weird taste that would affect the milk...and when I just try the milk steamed alone sans espresso...it has very little flavor at all...Used to come out all custardy and sweet

Hot weather, cold drinks

I make a cold Macchiato by whipping a couple of ounces of cold whole milk with one of those Spring ended milk frothers and then adding a double shot of espresso with a pinch of Stevia in it! It's cool and delicious! Kirk

Tried "Truvia" as a sweetener?

Any one else tried the "Truvia" brand sweetener? I am trying to get away from the Splenda and Equal brands...and Truvia seems to be based on Stevia with some other natural ingredients. I put a half a packet in my morning macchiato and it seems to blend well with the taste of espresso. It definitely ...
