Thanks everyone for the advice. I usually use Horizon Organic whole or a local Organic Whole milk. I think the problem may be my thermometer. Steamed milk has little to no taste now...
I use a steaming thermometer and get it to 140 to 150F...and the milk tastes fine cold...The espresso tastes fine...no weird taste that would affect the milk...and when I just try the milk steamed alone sans espresso...it has very little flavor at all...Used to come out all custardy and sweet

Hey HB Hive mind! I have been using a Alex Duetto V. 1.5 for almost 8 years now and have noticed in the last year that when I foam milk it doesn't get that sweet custardy aroma and taste anymore! I usually use Organic Valley or Clover brand Organic Whole milk and used to get quite a bit

Hot weather, cold drinks
I make a cold Macchiato by whipping a couple of ounces of cold whole milk with one of those Spring ended milk frothers and then adding a double shot of espresso with a pinch of Stevia in it! It's cool and delicious! Kirk

Tried "Truvia" as a sweetener?
