Baratza Vario+ upper burr holder grounds?
{image} Here's a picture in case my description was unclear. You might have to try a couple of brands to find a band that has an appropriate diameter and thickness. What you end up with is a makeshift gasket that is cheap and widely available

Baratza Vario+ upper burr holder grounds?
This is a long-standing issue with the Vario. I finally solved it by putting an elastic hair tie (basically a nylon wrapped rubber band) around the inner base of the stock hopper where it meets the top of the burr carrier. It's not an airtight fit, but blocks 99% of coffee from escaping in that loca...

Replacement for Breville Dual Boiler
What's your water like? Water is usually the thing that destroys machines... even expensive commercial ones over $20k. You might have a longer life from your next machine if you can balance your water, i.e. the ideal mineral content to not be scale-forming and not corrosive

Hiring a "consultant" to taste and diagnose my pour over
If you think back to when you last had a pourover or filter coffee that excited you (maybe this was at a cafe), what did it taste like? In other words, what kind of flavors are you chasing? What coffees/roasters are you brewing now?

Zerno grinder
Blind SSP MP burrs are the same cut as the SSP MP burrs - just without the screw holes. Theoretically you have a little more cutting surface area (though it's possible burr screw holes themselves do a bit of pre-breaking?). Hard to say whether there is a difference in the cup until someone systemati...

Espresso only bearable with sweetener. Need help dialing in.
Maybe stick with the Panther coffee for a bit while you get used to your new setup! (Or any other espresso you have already enjoyed in a coffee shop). You're working with a lot of new variables. Better to rule out potentially bad / stale coffee, otherwise you're going to have a frustrating time. Rem...

Office setup. $250 budget
If you want other people to be able to walk up and make a consistent pot, I would recommend a grinder with a digital timed dose/grind. It's too bad the entry Baratzas don't have this. For a little more money than an Encore, the Breville Smart Grinder Pro has similar quality burrs and you gain repeat...
