Need help troubleshooting brew pressure drop with Expobar Brewtus
Maybe the Brewtus is trying to tell you something, like it's time for a new machine?

Need help troubleshooting brew pressure drop with Expobar Brewtus
To me, that sounds like an OPV issue. Depending on the type of OPV (I am not familiar with the OPV in the Brewtus), you can try to exercise it by loosening and tightening a few times while running the pump, then setting to the proper pressure and see what happens. This will also show you if

Problem with preinfusion on pre-Millenium Europiccola
I have the same machine and have always had to do the handle "up-down dance" to get rid of the air/steam before a proper pull. I just think that is the way the Pavoni is

A modified pop-corn popper with separate control circuits
As far as I can tell on the Gene, the fan that blows into the heater, then the roast chamber is a computer type DC fan and the motor that tumbles the drum is also DC, both possibly 12V. I havent't completely disassembled yet because I want to use it as long as possible until such time as I NEED

A modified pop-corn popper with separate control circuits
Great job! I have been thinking about a project like this for my Gene Cafe roaster (only 110V in the US). You may just be the inspiration that I need. -Bill

New-to-me Europiccola!
Just checked the Europiccola since I keep it at work. 2.5 bars is the max of the gauge, and that's where the ball pops. This is the second gauge, and both had the same reading during the relief pop-off

New-to-me Europiccola!
I replaced it when I added the gauge... did a complete rebuild - gauge, gaskets, relief valve, descale, etc. The old relief was the spring and steel ball, the new one is a spring and teflon(?) or some other white plastic instead of the ball. It has a leg that fits into the spring for a secure fit.

New-to-me Europiccola!
grong- I have a 2-switch Europiccola with the added pressure gauge. I have found that my machine does not release from the pressure relief until my gauge is topped out, about 3 bar! Much more than the 0.8 you mention. Different machines may have different relief valves, so I would venture a guess th...

La Pavoni Europiccola damaged during shipping - still safe to use?
Excellent! Enjoy. I used my eBay LaPav for a few years before I moved to an Alexia as my main machine. Learned a ton about the art and randomness of espresso with the LaPav. Still use the it at work and traveling. BTW - Doug/"Fullsack", is that a Pelican case with the La Pav in it for your avatar?
