Recent Versalab M3 performance
1. Does the grinder produce consistent high-quality output over days, weeks, months of use? Yes 2. Does the grind setting slip? No 3. Does the drive belt slip? No 4. Have you observed burr misalignment? No 5. Have you observed runout in excess of spec on the drive shaft? No 6. Are there any other de...

Versalab M3 grinder owners
It looks like my suggestion for a poll isn't getting much traction. I still think it would shed some meaningful light on an otherwise controversial topic. HB, if you decide to do it, I suggest you open it only to M3 owners. (Does this qualify as a 'new' point?? ) Dave

Versalab M3 grinder owners
It would be interesting to see a satisfaction poll of actual M3 owners. There seems to be one highly vocal owner who absolutely hates his grinder, but prefers to keep using it and complaining rather than getting rid of it and moving on to another grinder. A poll would speak volumes about the

Versalab M3 Grinder
I have owned my M3 for 1 1/2 years now, and couldn't be happier. It is the BEST coffee equipment purchase I made. Sure it was expensive, but once you own an M3 you put to rest grinder upgrade-itis for good. End of story

Consistent GOD shots
I can only report on what I've tried, which at this point consists of only singles using fresh Vita and Dolce @96C on my machine. FWIW, the results started going down hill somewhere around 6 days after roast, which is earlier than when I use the traditional approach. Now that the weekend is here I'l...

Consistent GOD shots
mike, with all due respect, thank you for mentioning a Silvia in a discussion about repeatability. I couldn't have made my point better myself. If you separate a pound of beans into equal piles and then grind, dose, and then pull them using IDENTICAL processes, (let' assume laboratory conditions her...

Consistent GOD shots
The insistence that a godshot or what ever you want to call it is unrepeatable underscores what can ONLY be interpreted as INCONSISTENCY IN YOUR TECHNIQUE OR EQUIPMENT. Aging aside, if you are unable to repeat your results one shot after another, don't complain to me. Look at what's happening at bot...

Consistent GOD shots
Excellent video. Your shot has more in common with my method than not. Hardly a drop before the 30 second mark, and ending at 1 minute. You ended up with a little more volume than my shots, but I'm using a single basket so it's pretty much a wash

I'm the OP. I've read some interesting discussion, as well a a recent post that borders on insulting, but not a single poster has shared their own personal results using this recipe. It's been four days since the original post, which is enough time to have ordered and received the beans. I'm looking...
