La Marzocco Strada X1
Home machine? Guessing you didn't look at the specs. Don't think most people would consider a 150 lb machine of that size a home machine. That thing would make my GS3 look tiny. But then again, I know someone that had a 3-group GB5 in their home

Up for your consideration is my K30 WBC Edition Vario. Bought it in 2014 and have only used it in my home. La Marzocco Leva X pre-orders just opened up
Absolutely stunning, but the $15,000 price tag means I'll not be owning one, regardless if it came in 110v

La Marzocco GS3 suddenly silent?
This happened because your water is 3 - 5 times harder than the upper limit La Marzocco recommends. "La Marzocco Water Calculator" Don't bother descaling; that's for routine maintenance, and you are years past that. As has been stated, you need a teardown, descale soak, and rebuild. To see for sure,...

La Marzocco GS3 MP high water consumption
Thanks for posting. We are hoping you can tell us the answer to this question. Does your Slayer dump water into the drip tray when in prewbrew, full brew, or only when you stop the shot? If you are not seeing it dump water into the drip tray during prebrew, then it probably works just like a

La Marzocco GS3 MP high water consumption
Yes, just as it does when you pull against a blank or choke a shot. Here is a video I made this morning which shows this on the older GS/3. {video}Apparently the new conical valve GS/3 vents the excess pressure out the exhaust to lessen the pressure on the seals. I'm hoping someone makes a video to ...

La Marzocco GS3 MP high water consumption
You definitely want to run it in full power mode if your home's wiring and the circuit it's on can support it. The only reason to run in half power mode is because you don't have enough juice available to supply power for both heating elements being on at the same time. From what I remember, the hea...

La Marzocco GS3 MP high water consumption
To be honest, plumbing in and plumbing out will only solve some of your dislikes. We haven't even discussed temp stability when flowing that much water through the brew path with only a minimal amount hitting the puck. Yes, the boiler is fed by a heat exchanger sitting in the steam boiler, but if yo...

La Marzocco GS3 MP high water consumption
Are they really pushing that much out the exhaust? I admit, I thought the ~6 shots off a full reservoir was a gross exaggeration. If they are passing that much water out of the exhaust, I'd like to see a video showing this. If anyone has a link, please share.Magnus, on my machine when the "Refill Ta...

La Marzocco GS3 MP high water consumption
This must be new. On my machine the "Refill Tank" only comes on AFTER you pull your shot, so it never stops during a pull, thus never ruining a shot. Very weird that they would change this given the boiler's 1.5 liter capacity. FWIW, my firmware version is 1.06
