I'm designing a device to load premeasured single doses.

This is what I'm hoping to discover- is it useful? I have been on coffee forums long enough to know that people do single dose. Why do they do that if they can just grind up a bunch of coffee and then dose it through the doser? My idea is fully adjustable from a triple down

I'm designing a device to load premeasured single doses.

Thanks for posting that. I should have known it would already exist. All I know is it's invaluable to me. I'm sure curious what the interest is in a single doser

I'm designing a device to load premeasured single doses.

Wow, that was fast. It's probably not a good idea to post this since this isn't what I intend for the doser to look like. Part of the reason is that many people don't want their grinder height increased. But for some other reasons. I'm going more toward a countertop model. Here's an early version of...

I'm designing a device to load premeasured single doses.

I'm curious what fraction of people are single dosing. I have been using a single dose bean dispenser that I designed for about five years now. It dawned on me that this might be a good thing for the home baristas out there. It's adjustable, and makes single dosing easy. When I'm blurry eyed in the ...

Reneka Techno blowing main fuse. Looking for answers.

I can safely say the machine is fixed. I've had it running for a week without any trouble. The problem was what I had expected. I sucked out the fuse clips, and installed new ones. I also ran solid copper in lieu of the traces on the board, over to the relay. I don't know what

Reneka Techno blowing main fuse. Looking for answers.

Well, I just had a conversation with my old electronics engineer dad. Not that he has any answers. But we both concluded that the best place to start is to replace the fuse holder, and get things back to where they were before it was blowing. The reason being, even with a fast blow 15 amp fuse, this

Reneka Techno blowing main fuse. Looking for answers.

I think I only ran that calculation on the 10 ohm element. That's interesting. Plus, when the steam boiler is on, so can the motor be running. But I've only seen the fuse blow when the motor wasn't running. I think. As for power, I checked it a while back, because I had just finished building this p...

Reneka Techno blowing main fuse. Looking for answers.

RL5 (the discolored relay) runs the motor. RL6 is the relay with the bigger contacts, and runs the boilers. It looks brand new. And it only turns on one boiler or the other. It cannot run both. Also, the fuse has never blown with the motor running. It is related to the boilers, or a boiler

Reneka Techno blowing main fuse. Looking for answers.

I'm only good for testing 10 amps. So as soon as I can figure out how to measure the current through the F2, I'll have some real information on what's actually happening. I've been holding off calling Boyd's. They're great at helping. But I thought this was going to be a quick problem to solve
