Brad, I think we left right at 2pm, but we were right around the corner from the coffee display. Between it and the BBQ stand. Anyway sorry we missed you!

Cuvee Coffee Meritage Espresso Blend

Brad, did you see us at Whole Foods on Saturday?! we were there from 11am-3pm serving up French presses, and Clancy was passing out cappuccino's. It was a blast! Jason, glad you continued to enjoy the espresso! Mike thinks that the small milk drinks are where that coffee really shines, although it i...

Is leveling off the coffee necessary?

for all the people skeptical about grinding by time I think it is worthwhile to mention. I have timed how long several baristas who are very consistent dosers +-.5gram per shot, and while they use how much coffee is in the portafilter to tell them when to stop... they still ran the grinder for the s...

Cuvee Coffee Meritage Espresso Blend

Jason, yes we roast to order, and based on the shipping estimator in our online store it should take about 3 days for you to receive your coffee. Is leveling off the coffee necessary?

Jason, I really did not want to have to respond to this, but it has grown tiresome. You say that you want to build a coffee community, but then you do things like this. I could forgive the assumption that my espresso would pull atrociously uneven with no distribution, even in the face of Nicolas wit...

Cuvee Coffee Meritage Espresso Blend

Chris, I tried your suggestion about lowering the temp and pulling the extremely ristretto shots. You are right this is definitely a very interesting expression of this coffee. It made the leather note much more pleasant where at the higher temp it bordered on harsh. I think this is probably more pr...

Good espresso I've had away from home

Brad, yes Medici got rid of their Swift after Patrick Pierce won the South Central Regional last June, and took over training all the baristas how to use the mazzer. I've also had great shots at Bar None Coffee in Georgetown, and Caffe Tazza in Tyler

Random Thought: Roaster Brew Recommendations

Mark, glad you had better luck with your coffee at home. The Medici crew has many new faces right now and they are all working hard to become solid baristas, many of them with no previous experience, so hopefully your next trip there will be better. You can get our Meritage espresso at a couple of o...
