Looking for the 1990s Rio logo

The Rio was actually an Astoria for the US market sold by the old ESI company in Seattle. So you should search for Astoria models such as Fiore that will help you complete the logo. This is the only photo I have of my Astoria Fiore front and you can see it has the same world

La Marzocco Linea Mini grouphead gasket - Portafilter lock in problem

If you are feeling metal on metal then it is most always that the underside of the portafilter ears are not smoothly mating with the brass bayonet ring on the group. They should wear in with time. There is a small chance that the basket is contacting the dispersion screen but that is rare. For

Visiting Kent Bakke's Museum

Nice pics Ryan. The LSM hyrdaulic is very cool and even better with the external box. I have seen a few Dorio hydraulics over the years. Simon do you recirculate the water? I know Oz is very strict on water wastage. The Cimbali's are a good hydraulic machine. I have a 1g Gran

Cafelat Robot User Experience

Need help fixing leak around boiler level probe

No you are fine, just snug it up. The lower ones looks like copper which you can tighten without worry. I really love the way Bosco does the pipes, so clean and fluid

Bosco heating element leak has me stumped...

You can see a flat gasket in the photo. If they did not use sealant you can usually reuse it. If they used sealant then it will probably be stuck and will break apart. But then again if they used sealant it would probably not be leaking. {image}

Bosco heating element leak has me stumped...

If it leaks just when it is not under pressure the gasket is not squished at all. Since the actual mating surface looks somewhat ok I would guess that something is preventing the teflon seal from seating correctly. Without a gasket, does the element screw in all the way and butt up against the boile...

Some like it hot: Cafelat Robot Temperature Mods

The basket blanking plugs have slowly been out in the wild for a few months now. I am trying to get the distributors to stock them first as it will be cheaper for shipping. {image}

Olympia Cremina Asbestos Gasket?

it does look like the gasket needs caution. Luckily it looks like it will come off quite easily so you can get it changed without too much drama. I think gasket material in machines had asbestos even into the late 90's
