Afdichten (Sealing) boiler
Ah, thanks Jim. Permatex used to make an NSF high temperature (red) gasket maker that some of used on old Gaggias. The product no longer seems to carry the NSF designation. I'm not familiar with a substitution

Afdichten (Sealing) boiler
Google Translate was no help: My heel or Gaggia - 1960/1970 - the boiler was used and beautifully made. The sealing of the cover was a ring of asbestos. It is broken in pieces and has never been used. Wil ik ook niet. My material is weak sealing material and this is the best way to use it. I

Got new thermostat, can't find instructions on how to install
What Spopinski said: Hold firmly, wiggle a bit, and pull apart; no 'special' or any tools required. The clear blue bits are just covers over the connections. This is easy; you CAN do it; and you could probably do it even if it wasn't easy. You've gotta start somewhere and this is as

Gaggia Classic boiler on old Gaggia Dandy
I don't know of any pressure relief on the steam valve. I don't see that the one you attached a picture of says that it is 'adjustable', but maybe it is. Have you tried adjusting the pressure? That will be the test. The one that you originally had at the inlet to the boiler

Gaggia Classic boiler on old Gaggia Dandy
Was that red case from your first pictures the original Dandy? I just found this picture, which although fuzzy, I think shows that pressure valve mounted in the floor of the Dandy's cabinet {image}

Gaggia Classic boiler on old Gaggia Dandy
Yeah, the Dandy didn't seem to have much of a following. It's too bad you removed the OPV on the boiler inlet. It is adjustable, which the one you have on the pump is not. Unfortunately they are both 'over pressure valves', so they get confabulated, but the one you have now is a safety

And, if that's the case, it may be possible to trace a wire from that to the power. I will look at it later, but maybe you want to start in on it. This picture is extra confusing because I took it after I added the PID so there are even more wires, but it might help.

Gaggia Classic boiler on old Gaggia Dandy
Ooof....It's been so long since I actually had the Dandy. I do have some pictures, and one of them may help with your question about the water, but I'm afraid I can't experiment and tell you much about lights on or off. The attached picture is labelled "Dandy has a pressure sensor in the reservoir",...
