Thought on single dosing Mazzer Robur E after a few months

Hi, Your video was very impressive. I bought a Mazzer Robur E few days ago. I also tried this, and I also managed to achieve such results. I didn't do video, but I made some pictures of the results. I've done everything the same as you.{image}

Mazzer Major with variable grinding speed

I had the opportunity to compare my grinder with a Hungarian DIY grinder, which name is Combat, and its equipped with a 83 mm Mazzer Robur burr sets. This is a prototype. This grinder speed can be adjusted between 112 rpm and 346 rpm. The best results were archived at about 260 rpm. I was wondering ...

Lower grinder's RPM: how to?

Hi, On my own Mazzer Major I solved the speed control. I needed a single-phase frequency convertor. Follow this link to read about it: "Mazzer Major with variable grinding speed"

Mazzer Major with variable grinding speed

Hi, I have been thinking a lot of what is the relation between grinding speed and coffee quality. I have an 220V single-phase Mazzer Major. Its grinding speed is 1400 rpm (50 Hz) . But at this speed everything is suppressed by the citrus flavor at the fruity taste light roasted coffe. Let's look at ...

Is there an easy way to reduce Mazzer Robur's grinding RPM?

The single-phase motor doesn't work a "three-phase output" inverter. You will need a "single-phase input - single-phase output inverter

Is there an easy way to reduce Mazzer Robur's grinding RPM?

I think the inverter will not affect the life of the engine. It is a completely professional thing. It used in many places in industry. I bought a 0.75 kW version, because it was enough for the major (650W). You will need the 1,1 kW version for the Robur (900W) My inverter cost about $ 260

Is there an easy way to reduce Mazzer Robur's grinding RPM?

My grinder is 220V single-phase , and the frequenty converter is single-phase too. (single-phase input - single-phase output). The most type of inverter is "three-phase - three-phase" or "three-phase - single-phase". These are little bit cheaper and more prevalent than the "single-phase - single-pha...

Is there an easy way to reduce Mazzer Robur's grinding RPM?

Hi, I'm the guy who changed the speed of the Mazzer Major. I connected a single-phaze inverter to the motor. {video} It can be changed by one tenth between 0-120 Hertz. The goal is to reduced the speed, thus, the part above 50 Hertz (US. 60Hz) does not matter. The frequency may be reduced to 22 Hz
