What's the Mazzer with me? Pictures of New Paint Job; My thoughts on Super Jolly!
Yeah, that's one I'm going to do myself when time allows. I was curious if you were still playing around with the two-liter bottle modification at all. Have you let go of that as a feasible option? Again, just curious. Al

What's the Mazzer with me? Pictures of New Paint Job; My thoughts on Super Jolly!
Tim, Are you still experimenting around with your doserless modification? (Pardon me if you're discussing that in another thread. I've been dealing with website problems for the last 10 days and I might have lost track of the "doserless" discussion). Al

What's the Mazzer with me? Pictures of New Paint Job; My thoughts on Super Jolly!
Wow, great job...! So, is it less expensive to send grinders to you for new paint jobs or to fly you in to do the work on location?

Measuring Actual Distance Between Adjusted Mazzer Burrs (Is Data Available?)
That's great info, AndyS. Glad you picked up on the thread and chimed in. And I'll amend my last "conclusions" post, above, to make sure that anyone who reads it remembers that it's the Mazzer Mini only for those conclusions. May I ask how you collected the info on those different burrs? Just out

Measuring Actual Distance Between Adjusted Mazzer Burrs (Is Data Available?)
So, the conclusion is (for the Mazzer Mini, in any case)... Given one adjustment collar, 10 major divisions (0 through 9) on the collar, 100 total hash marks (or tick marks) on the collar, and assuming a 1.5mm thread pitch. One full turn of the collar results in a 1.5mm rise or fall of

Response from Mazzer on "Grungy" Burrs
Hey, thanks richard. I'm glad you found the photos and/or text helpful. That's a big part of my wanting to post those images. We share our information and perspectives and we all benefit in some way from what others share with us. Good stuff all around. Al

Measuring Actual Distance Between Adjusted Mazzer Burrs (Is Data Available?)
Ah! Very good, and thanks. So I was fairly close on my measurements, then, even with the crude method I was using. I figured I had to be off by some amount, but I was hoping I wasn't WAY off -- as in, "Hey, Al, you need to move your decimal points over a couple of spaces

Measuring Actual Distance Between Adjusted Mazzer Burrs (Is Data Available?)
During part of the little macro photo project I have been playing with on Mazzer Mini burrs, I started wondering about the actual distance between the top and bottom burrs while doing various grind adjustments. I did some rough and unscientific measurements myself by measuring a .5mm distance betwee...

Response from Mazzer on "Grungy" Burrs
Looks like Mazzer was only interested in seeing the dirty burrs as fresh out of the package. They apparently wanted to see them before I removed the grit, and it's a bit late for that. As an alternative, I directed them to the 20 or 30 other photos I have of those same
