Dull, flat flavour with V60 and 1Zpresso SP6
100%. I think all too often people like to resort to it being the gear, technique, water, etc.... But coffee is the ingredient in the recipe.. almost 99% of the finished product... you can't really make a top notch dish unless you have quality ingredients. Doesn't matter what cooking technique you use

Immersion always results in off taste
Interesting take. I figured if I shortened up the brew time on an aeropress to 1 minute that the grind could be medium or close to a pour over grind. What I don't understand is why this never happened to my espresso. The grinds were crazy fine comparatively but never exhibited this "bean" taste... M...

Immersion always results in off taste
The irony is that the (arguably) gold standard for coffee brewing across the world is cupping, an immersion method. Its the basis thats used to judge coffee quality

Immersion always results in off taste
Yes, a variety of different water make ups... Also, its not something I notice with drip so I dont know why water would work great for drip but not immersion. FWIW, I think water gets over hyped once your fairly dialed into the good area. There is definitely something to be said for getting your wat...
