Frustration trying to purchase a Mahlkonig K30 Vario
While I agree that it might be jumping the gun to call this a criminal act, at this price point, you have every right to expect an absolutely new grinder if that is what you paid for. Even if there is not practical difference between an absolutely new grinder and the one that you received, if you ca...

Drip Coffee: Back to the Future
See that video makes me think there's too much transferring from one vessel to another. I'm a daily user of the Clever Coffee Dripper, and I obsess about keeping the drink warm until it's ready for consumption. I fill the brewer with hot water and let it sit for 30-60s and then dump it before adding...

For the Ethiopian Lovers
I agree that the Gr. 3 DP that SMs is selling right now isn't quite as aromatic as the IMV from the year before, but nonetheless it is still a very nice bean and a good value. I get a lot of blueberry aromas from mine

How was your morning coffee today?
We have our house staged to move, so all of the espresso gear is packed away, so I'm drinking drip coffee every day of the week now. First cup of the day was half Costa Rican Tarrazu Montes D'Oro (last of batch) and half Ethiopioan Gr. 3 Dry Process (both from SMs). The two beans were great together

Steam tip for Izzo Alex Duetto?
I've struggled with finding a tip I like for my Andreja Premium ever since I got it. I tried the stock tip, a one-hole tip I made by plugging a stock tip with JB Weld and drilling a hole in the center, and the no-burn four-hole tip that Chris recently started carrying. But I recently got the one-hole

Canned green coffee beans?
If you look down the page and read the various ways they recommend roasting the beans, it makes me think they don't have a clue. Broiled beans anyone?

Advice on removing Giotto steam tip.
I'll post the results from the new one-hole tips. The first one should arrive tomorrow. I'm expecting both to be direct replacements, because the Brewtus comes with the same no-burn wand as the Giottos and my Andreja

*Which* Baratza grinder for drip/press?
I have one of the original Solis-badged Maestros, and it's about 7 or 8 years old now and still works fine for my morning cup (Clever Coffee Dripper or Aeropress). My Maestro has the pulse grind button on the front, which now only comes on the Maestro Plus or better. I only grind using the pulse but...

Advice on removing Giotto steam tip.
I have the same wand on my Andreja Premium (and the same frustration with the two-hole tip). To remove it, I used a small piece of sheet rubber, wrapped it around the tip, and then grabbed onto it with a simple adjustable plier. Holding the wand near the tip with my left hand and twisting the plier ...
