Computing brew pressure of direct lever espresso machines

This was one of the first things I did when my son and I acquired the first EP. We calculated the lever force and also the tamping force. Since the EP portafilter is small diameter, the same force as on say a 58 mm basket gives more pressure. Took the scales out to get the feel.
