Programming volumetric dose on a Fiorenzato Ducale

Hi there, Trying to help a friend that works in a restaurant with a Fiorenzato Ducale - does anyone have a manual they could share, or even just the part about programming the volume of the doses? I'm going to swing by and try just holding the continuous button to enter programming mode, as that's t...

Compak K10 burr installation issue

I have a second grinder that I haven't taken the burrs out of yet, I planned on checking it when we clean out the grinders this week. I'll report back

Compak K10 burr installation issue

I asked him about it, and he said the spring keeps the bolts under a little tension. They did seem even when backed off to be somewhat held in place. But seeing as he's the official Compak tech and I'm taking his advice, if something goes wrong

Compak K10 burr installation issue

This thread is a few months old now, but figured I'd post for completeness. Encountered the same issue recently with the K10 at my café after replacing burrs, and called the local (official) Compak repair guy. He told me the screws should not be tightened so that the black spring is pressed flat, th...

Picture request for ACF cups

Just a general note to all - my local ACF distributor recently told me that the company has gone out of business and the factory is up for sale. So get your cups now while you can

Two Cheers for the Clever Dripper

Another option is the Brewt, which has a handy hinged lid. It's a slightly different shape than the Clever, so you have to fold the edge of a #4 filter to get it to fit, but it will survive a dishwasher. It also has a small mesh screen (it's meant to brew loose leaf tea or coarse grind, French-Press...

Beginner Espresso Questions

In Gamba and Saint Henri (which I should have included in my list before - there's just a bunch more now to keep track of!) are owned by the same guy, so you should be able to buy the Godshot blend at both places. Staff at either should be more than happy to talk to you, unless they're really slammed

Beginner Espresso Questions

Montrealer jumping in: you can taste good shots and buy fresh coffee at Cafe Myriade, Cafe Neve, Caffe in Gamba (largest selection of artisanal roasters), Flocon, Pikolo, Entre La Plume Et Le Cafe, Lapin Pressé, and a few others too (ask at these shops). And more every month these days, we seem to b...

Roasted Coffees in Alberta

... and don't miss Phil & Sebastian if you're in Calgary, or feel like ordering some coffee from them. For best in Canada, I'd still give the edge to 49th Parallel Roasters in Vancouver (disclaimer: I'll be using their beans in my cafe). Might give P&S 2nd at this point, but I haven't tried everythi...
