New Ikawa Home Roaster - 100g capacity

haha - in lieu of any small containers - I'm actually using sandwich bags which were in the kitchen drawer! You're using a quart size bag for a 100g or less roast? Even the sandwich bags are far too big for my 50g batches. I'm roasting as we speak Did

New Ikawa Home Roaster - 100g capacity

The used, but really never used pro50 has arrrrived... I'm not sure if there's a pro specific thread or this has become a master thread for home and pro observations? First off, I feel like I'm cheating on my bullet LOL. Honestly, the bullet is a really, really good product, and Aillio stands behind...

New Ikawa Home Roaster - 100g capacity

Thanks for that response Matt. I'm also self taught, as are most people on home-barista. Education is largely developed through years of experience. Fortunately, you have a roaster that allows you to make very accurate adjustments and then taste the result. In that case, you CAN make good use of you...

New Ikawa Home Roaster - 100g capacity

I was browsing through some of the crown jewels last night and noticed most of the profiles are exhaust based, so really only for a pro model. One bean had both inlet and exhaust profiles, but seems they were catering to exhaust (pro profile). Man I'm so conflicted of what to do. One guy on here

New Ikawa Home Roaster - 100g capacity

Thanks Gary - I've now downloaded the pro app, as well as subscribed to the graph editor on the home app. Trying to see the space I'd be working in, before buying one of these machines. At a quick glance - if the inlet PID control is really good, then I think the graph editor

New Ikawa Home Roaster - 100g capacity

You guys are a bad influence LOL.... I'm not sure how I got into this rabbit hole in the last 24 hours but the more I think about it - the more I really am close to pulling the trigger. @gdm528 - your post really resonated to me. I've been home roasting

New Ikawa Home Roaster - 100g capacity

Home vs Pro.... I know these machines are at wildly different price points, but it seems since the app update last year, the home machine gained alot of functionality by allow someone to create a "profile" that the ikawa then replicates. How effective has this proven to be? I know one of you ended u...

Fellow Ode V2.0 burrs almost here

This is the universe telling me that gen 2 burrs are what I should upgrade to. THANK YOU for posting this, in addition to the discount code!!! Added a carter move mug to get free shipping. Was literally going to order ssp burrs today but gen 2 seems great value for money

Fellow Ode V2.0 burrs almost here

I'm under the same dilemma. Do I pay $185 (via prima) to buy SSP MP, SSP cast v2, or wait for these gen 2 ode burrs at likely less cost

Fellow Ode brew grinder review

Sure... grinder experience seems to be mixed across the board. I've owned several grinders (they're not all listed below, but recently) Vario with steel burrs in the past and it was just ok, nothing special. I probably didn't own it long enough to really test it but I didn't like the grind adjustmen...
