[SOLD] 2 Mazzer Super Jollys

Hey Y'All, I'm cleaning my garage and have to make some space. Sooo... I've got two Mazzer SJs from the Starbucks sell-off era. What's that, 2003-ish? {image} {image} Both units have variants of the "Verna Original" (smirk) doserless adapters I made more than a decade (?!?!) ago... Anyway, one has b...

How LOUD should a Mazzer Super Jolly be?

Who is lino? I guess I haven't been logging on as often as I used to... The SJ should be fairly quiet when empty, like the mini in Dan's video. The good news about the bearings is that McMaster has them (as do many other hardware type stores). {link} and they're cheap. $5-10 depending

Article Feedback: The Mind and Machines of Verna Design

Gosh, I'm blushing... Really though, thanks for the compliments. You know, one could argue that many of us take "this coffee thing" a little to extremes (my wife sure thinks so). It's not a big step to take that to a modification of the PF. We like our coffee stuff to look and

Super Jolly Doser Adjustment Knob

I've had the doser pretty far apart on several SJs and I can't for the life of me remember if I took out the bottom casting (of the doser). I am sure that you can clean things up very well without separating that part. If I remember right also, if you do get that part out, you may

How is rancilio portafilter handle attached?

G'day, the PF handle has a little snap on cover on the back of the handle. A knife blade or similar will take it off, though it can be a bit difficult to do without leaving a mark. Once that's off, down the hole, you'll see a nut. I don't remember what size, but it looks

Removing Super Jolly lower burr carrier

Yeah, what he said... I've used a puller the couple times I've done it, so I can't speak with experience about the heating method. The puller is a bit of a pain because there is very little room on the far side to grab anything, all the coils wires are in the way. I ended up

Removing Super Jolly lower burr carrier

Yep, it's pressed on. That one's a bit of a bugger to get off. I've taken apart several SJs, but I can't remember how I got that part off. It's too tight to get a puller in there. I think I didn't worry about it, and it came off in the process of pulling the motor shaft

Olympia cremina 67 portafilter

I forgot to mention (actually forgot all together) that I also have access to a late model Cremina, somewhere around 2005 or so... I'll try it out on that before anything else. Also, I should mention, even though I modeled the PF as stock (that is, not bottomless), the one(s) I'll be making will be ...
