Note that this is only(AFAIK) for the "Select" models, which have a switch with half- and full- coffee pot icons. IIRC, other models have a high/low switch for the hotplate and the electric switch has half- and full-filled circle icons. In addition, some models - but not the "Select" - have a manual...

I was thinking that a strap wrench would let you determine how long a lever would be needed. I had a similar issue with the knob on my Elektra Micro Casa a Leva, and I was able to use a wrench.
