Fellow Aiden anyone?

It seems to be pretty much always the wisest course to wait for a v2, regardless of product or company. Your decision is if three bags of coffee "valued at $75+" is enough of an incentive to buy what is effectively a launch edition. Another consideration for those of us who are electrically conserva...

Decaf ESE pods 3 ways with Lelit Elizabeth

For best results, use a basket designed for ESE pods, e.g., {link} . In addition, an ESE-compatible portafilter and/or an ESE group dispersion block and/or shower screen may be needed. In order to work as designed, the ESE pod must be compressed against the shower screen when the portafilter is lock...

Mazzer Philos Comments

On many grinders with burrs mounted horizontally, backing off the grind setting - unscrewing the adjuster entirely - is necessary to remove the upper burr. Thus, the grind setting is lost. You can, of course, make a note of the setting value and reset upon re-installation of the upper burr

I wouldn't characterize it as un-inspiring - for example, the Technivorm Moccamaster Cup-One is pretty well regarded, albeit limited to 300ml/10oz, and appears at first glance to use a similar shower setup, albeit with a #1 trapezoidal cone instead of a #2, and without the bloom and pulse and temper...

In the meantime, you could investigate how you would like coffee from a restricted/constant-flow one-hole #2 Melitta-style cone with a center-weighted potentially higher-velocity pour vs. what you prefer to do now. I'm not saying one is better or worse than another; just that you might have a taste ...

~$7k budget for grinder and espresso machine: La Marzocco Linea Micra + Zerno Z1? Monolith Flat?

Upon further googling, you are right. All the dealer sales that came up were outside the USA so those would be grey-market imports into the USA. I've deleted my post

La Marzocco Swan grinder released

That hasn't been my experience, but YMMV. (Many grinders with flat burrs have augers/'pre-breakers' that can hold partially crushed beans in addition to what is between the burrs.)
