Post a pic of your home espresso setup...

I moved into a new home 6 years ago and I've been making some pretty good pour over coffee the whole time. We finally got to work on our kitchen last year and the espresso bar is back! I'm moving away from my previous grinder (Compak K10 WBC) and I'm really loving he new Niche Zero. I'm

Bringing La Marzocco Linea out of storage

Thanks, Sebastian! I wasn't even aware of the existence of silicone group gaskets. I've got one on order now. I have a bunch of the brass fittings on hand, so I'll be sure to be checking for any leaks or hisses. Have a good one!

Bringing La Marzocco Linea out of storage

Good evening! Long time no post. When I moved about 6 years ago, I put my Linea 1EE into storage in my new basement. Now that my new kitchen is almost done, I'll be moving the machine to its final home in the next month or so. We've all seen the

Espresso for kids

Though my 3-year-old doesn't drink coffee, he loves to watch me make espresso and he gets to hold the "leveler" that I use for distribution (flat beer bottle opener). So for his 3rd birthday, he's entering the Linea club. The portafilter stays on with a magnet and is easily removed. No lights or noi...

La Marzocco Linea 1EE Powdercoat - What Color?

Finally got my Linea put back together. Added barista lights (you can see the switch next to the main power switch on the middle front panel). Wife acceptance factor is WAY, WAY up and I'm very happy with how it turned out. There's also quite a bit of satisfaction in knowing how something really wor...

La Marzocco Linea 1EE Powdercoat - What Color?

Craig, I saw those machines on the EspressoParts web site and thought that they were a bit over the top for my home. My wife and I have decided to go with one of the brown/tan/white/retro 80s color schemes. I should be ready to drop it off for powdercoat this week. Interesting brass surround

La Marzocco Linea 1EE Powdercoat - What Color?

Great suggestions! I don't think I'll be doing any animal or carbon fiber prints... though a jungle theme for the espresso room is intriguing. I do enjoy a nice cup of Monkey Blend, after all. Here's what they may look like (without the animal prints): Ferrari Red with Black: {image} Dark Brown and ...

La Marzocco Linea 1EE Powdercoat - What Color?

Tom, Great point! I'm totally open to suggestions. The colors here are just kind of my first stab, but I figure the more possibilities, the more likely I am to find one I really like. If you have something in mind, let me know and I'll plug it into my little tool and post a pic.

Removing power cables from La Marzocco Linea heating element

Craig and Stefano, Thanks for the reply! I wanted to be sure before I went ahead making more work for myself. I'll cut off the heat shrink. Thanks!
