A dilemma: Repair the Elektra or Bianca-fy an E61 Andrea Premium?

I have been using an 1993 2-group Elektra for the last 6 years. The time has come to replace the pump, the motor and the pressure gauge. I was going to do the repair, but the availability of a pressure profiling kit for e61 got me thinking about a different strategy. I have an andreja premium that I

Hi everyone, I want to avoid frying my new giemme control box. The wiring diagram below for the Andreja premium does not seem to match what I see in my machine. {image} First off, the control box is not the same code number (RL0 1E/1S + SIC/F) and the order of the inputs differ

Gaggia Achille: Worth buying?

Browsing the forum, it seems that the Gaggia Achille is a "bag of hurt". Leaks seem to be the main issue. Should one avoid this model at all cost? At 400$, is a new Gaggia Achille still a bad deal?

Is it possible to get rid of the pressurestat on my Elektra T1?

I replaced the pressurestat by a PID on my two group Elektra and it works like a charm. I read (and re-read!) Shadowfax's threads, which proved invaluable to restore my Elektra. He was gracious enough to provide some advice when I contacted him about the PID transformation. I am by no means an mecha...

Quickmill Anita Boiler Refill Not Working

Something similar happened to me recently. After eliminating other possible causes like poorly insulated probe, scale, solenoid valve malfunction, the culprit was the control box. Just one more thing to check. If it is one of the three first causes, the solution is easy and quite cheap. The control ...

Quickmill Andreja Premium: Water level probe and boiler refill problem--It's the Giemme control box!

You are probably right--I should just buy a new control box. Given my ignorance of electronics, I thought that the transformer could be really cheap. From what I understand now, this might not be the case. I also value the peace of mind provided by the installation of a new unit. One last question: ...
