Monolith Conical not grinding fine enough

Thanks for the replies. I've been using fresh coffee (i.e. only a few days or at most a couple of weeks post roast) so I don't think stale coffee is the issue. I haven't taken the grinder apart either. I periodically run Grindz through it to clean it, but otherwise haven't messed with the innards at...

Monolith Conical not grinding fine enough

I've had my Monolith Conical since the summer of 2018. It's been a great, reliable grinder for the last 5+ years. Recently, I've have to set the grind finer and finer just to get shots in the normal range of 25-30 seconds on my Linea Mini. I've been mostly using single origin beans from Verve Coffee.

La Marzocco Linea Mini leaking onto counter

Thanks for the replies. I haven't serviced the anti-vacuum valve in a long time. I can't even remember when I last had to replace or work on it, so maybe it's getting old and tired. As I recall, that's a pretty cheap and easy fix. I have the machine plumbed in through a water softener and

La Marzocco Linea Mini leaking onto counter

Hi, my Linea Mini seems to have sprung a leak. It's about 8 years old and plumbed in. Recently, I noticed a bit of water on the counter next to the machine in the morning after it warms up. There was also water on the frame under the drip tray, and more water in the drip tray

La Marzocco Linea Mini - No flow from group

Well, I took apart the group solenoid and soaked the gicleur and three-way valve in vinegar, then poked a thin needle into the gicleur to clear any scale. I didn't see any obvious obstructions in the valve or gicleur when they were out. I reassembled, and at first the water flowed normally through t...

La Marzocco Linea Mini - No flow from group

I have an older Linea Mini from 2015. It's plumbed in and connected to a water softener and filter from Chris' Coffee. I've never descaled it, but it was recently in for service at a professional shop, Great Infusions in Santa Cruz, and it's been working well since then. They replaced the group head...

La Marzocco Linea Mini Leaking at Brew Boiler

I've been a happy Linea Mini owner for about seven years. It's been working without problems for most of that time. I did have a leak at the pump years ago, but got that sorted out with help from the LM people. Anyway, I recently decided to give the machine some bling with a walnut group cover

Olympia Cremina bitter espresso

If the beans you're using are more than a few weeks past their roast date, then it's going to be very hard for you to get good results from them under any circumstances. I'd suggest getting some fresh roasted beans from a good roaster and going from there. Otherwise, you'll just be chasing your tail...

La Marzocco Linea Mini vs Rocket R58 for 10-20 seat cafe

You could buy two Linea Minis for the price of one commercial two-group machine. You could run them in tandem, and even use one for single origins and the other for blends. If one went down, you'd still have the other as a backup. Of course, you'd want to plumb them in and out for maximum efficiency

La Marzocco Linea Mini problems and the ownership experience

Ouch, sorry to hear about your problems. I had a similar leak on my Mini about 10 months after I bought it. Fortunately, it didn't flood the kitchen or the machine, just leaked a bit on the counter before I turned off the water and switched off the machine. It could have been really bad, though, esp...
