Eureka Specialita: risky to operate with a loose burr?
I'd give this a shot, but I don't have the DIY skills (and am not a brave person). But thanks for the suggestion!

Eureka Specialita: risky to operate with a loose burr?
Thanks for the replies! Tested the screw sockets on the carrier (without the lower burr in place) and one is definitely stripped. But not completely. Seems like only the top threads of the socket are bare, because the screw eventually fastens in place. But with the burr inserted, the screw doesn't c...

Eureka Specialita: risky to operate with a loose burr?
Hi all - I think I know the answer to this question, but throwing it out there... After cleaning my Specialita, I noticed that one of the tiny screw sockets on the lower burr is stripped. The two other screws fasten with no problem, but the third just spins in place (I tested all the screws in the

Long Time Users of the Eureka Mignon Specialita
I bought a Specialita in late '18 from Clive Coffee. I upgraded from a steel-burred Vario and use the Specialita for pour-over, not espresso. Other than the Vario, I've had no experiences with other grinders in the price range. No problems with the Specialita since day one. The build is solid. It's ...

Decent Robusta beans?
Howdy all ... I've been getting into Vietnamese Phin coffee and I'm wondering if any good roasters offer Robusta beans; so far, I know of Nguyen Coffee Supply in Brooklyn. Other than that, it's mostly stuff on Amazon. Anyone know of decent roasters offering Robusta? Thanks!

Eureka Filtro Grind Size Inconsistency (+Fix?)
I wonder if this applies to other Mignon models. I've had a Specialita for about a year, using it only for pour-over. I upgraded from a steel-burred Vario (side-graded?) and I'm pleased overall. But I sometimes wonder if the grind consistency could be better (based on post-brew grinds, but the incon...

9 Months with Eureka Mignon- Disappointed
Howdy AZ, thanks for the report about your Specialita - sorry to hear it's not working out. I've had a Spec for seven months and so far have only used it for pour-over. I upgraded (or maybe side-graded?) from a steel-burred Vario. The Vario was great in the cup, probably better than the Spec, but I ...

Mignon Specialita "freezing"
Gulp. Hope this isn't a bad omen for the Mignon line. I've been using a Specialita daily for 4 months (grinding for pourover only) and I've been pleased. No problems, knock wood. Good luck with the repair!
