Elektra Microcasa a Leva lever handle removal
I constructed a leverage devise to break the thread locker bond. See photo. When using this device, I wrap a few layers masking tape around the handle to avoid scratching. This has worked every time I've used it. {image} This photo is from a post I placed on the forum a while back

Fresh Roast SR 500 roasting tips for a newbie
This past weekend I purchased a FreshRoast 700 and the new extension tube which permits a larger volume of beans to be roasted. I usually roast on a Huky using Artisan, but the new FreshRoast will replace a much older FR-500 at another residence. Since I had some extra K-type thermocouples, I fit on...

How to stop channeling?
Here's my two cents: I have two well-maintained lever machines along with a very good grinder and experience what you describe from time to time using a bottomless portafilter. It happens! I roast my own beans and blend post roast. Some origins seem more prone to spurting than others. The other

Profitec Pro 800 Portafilter Handle Removal
Below are two photos of the repaired portafilter handle. The original handle was shiny, high gloss. Even with appropriate lathe tools, I was unable to get a smooth finish. So I decided to sand up thru several grit levels to remove any sanding marks and it didn't work. Long story made short, there is...

Profitec Pro 800 Portafilter Handle Removal
The handle attached to Pro 800 portafilter in the photo is red acrylic. Sorta wild looking, but not as nice as wood. At a recent wood turning symposium, I purchased two turning blanks which are a combination of acrylic resin (swirled black and white pigment) and stabilized buckeye burl. A combinatio...
