New Aeropress Products for 2023
I agree the clear version should just replace the dark current standard. My old almost clear 2007 version with the 'bad' plastic is used a couple times daily. I like seeing the coffee bed settle nice and flat. I expect the air we breath, water we drink, drugs taken and all the toxins in the plant fo...

Travel grinder for Aeropress - 2023 edition
I have had a Timemore Slim Plus for a few years and am happy with it - used daily. The body fits easily in the a-p. It has a fairly small bean capacity but no problem for 1 a-p at a time. Rich

Kidney function and caffeine clearance - if you know your genotype
No - I used to make 2 8oz aeropress coffee's 1 after another when I got up at 6am with no bad side effects, and a third usually a couple hours later and no jitters. But, I am working on a CBT-I program for insomnia I've had for years, so it was time to try no/low caffeine

Kidney function and caffeine clearance - if you know your genotype
As a carnivore I very strongly disagree with that opinion! (grin) Plants have lots of toxins that want to kill you since they cant run away and don't want to be eaten. You can be very healthy, eliminate many health issues on meat and saturated fat - no plants, no carbs, no fiber! Back on topic I

3mm TC vs 5mm TC temperature readings?
You will also see your turns are now sooner because of less lag. I have a near bare wire BT TC and my turns are always 35 to 40 secs

What coffees suits moka pots best?
I think that the moka pot videos by The Wired Gourmet on youtube are very much worth watching and trying to duplicate. His idea of a slow extraction and pulling when you get roughly 3x your dose I believe are good advice. I recently bought a small 2 cup version that takes a 14g dose which is perfect...

Cafelat Robot Arms Up Shoulder Clip (3D Printed)
There is no good reason not to just snug up that hex key bolt seen in first pic until they stay up. Job done

Coffee: The future of coffee growing and production [video]
I watched this before seeing your post with the link. Despite the few folks making a positive impact, it was largely a very discouraging picture being portrayed. Clearcuts as a fast way to grow 'organic', huge water use, pollution, etc

Office espresso - single person. Is it worth it?
Having made over 2K coffee's with my aeropress in the last 2+ years as my daily driver I'd suggest that and not espresso. I almost never use my V60, and don't make espresso any more in my home. I settled on basically inventor Alan Adler's method which is fast and easy after trying dozens of other yo...

When your coffee hobby affects your health
Thanks to Andrew for the CYP1A2 gene info. I found I had the A;C variant. I would strongly encourage anyone with raw genetic data to pay the $25 fee and run it through the analysis at 'Foundmyfitness' website - very highly recomended. That report gives a great deal of detail which 23 and me does not...
