Breville Dual Boiler recommended dose for single/double espresso
So then does that mean you can not use a smaller filter basket with the breville machines? And if you use a smaller filter basket ex 7gm/14gm can you still get a good coffee?

Latte/cappuccino not very hot
Thanks for the suggestions. In terms of preheating the cups, i fill it with 1/3 hot water and let it sit on the cup warmer for about 2 min. So far brewing the espresso directly on the drinking cup made a big difference and I'm happy with the results. I was using another cup to measure my espresso

Looking for a weight based grinder
oh wow, i didn't know you couldn't grind directly into the portafilter with the vario-W; for me that would me a major downside; for some reason i thought it had some kind of mechanism that weighed the coffee as it ground it in the portafilter
