Do people replace the group head or the whole machine?

Simply asking out of curiosity. If something happens to a group-head, do people scrap the entire machine or do they at times replace just the group-head to save the rest of the machine? This is not something I've heard of happening... actually, it seems like people salvage machines for the sake of t...

Will I regret purchasing a Baratza Vario?

I LOVE my vario! It's a great purchase. You might want to upgrade at some point (but only to a machine that's $800+) but you won't regret it... There's simply no reason to regret it. It's also very versatile for different types of grinds!

Post a pic of your home espresso setup...

Got my duetto a happy place on my teeny-tiny counter... I even had to take down the cabinet, because there was not enough room - but did I let THAT stop me? I will hopefully replace my Vario with a K10 very, very soon... ohhhh yeah. {image} ...My kids were

Keeping your espresso machine in pristine condition...

When it comes to nicks and scratches, I'm a total baby. It's like I revert to being 5 years old again, and have a hard time holding back the blubbery tears... I've already put one nick in my brand new duetto (it's on the drip tray, knocked it when I was pulling out my portafilter) and some sort of w...

Schedule for cleaning the water reservoir?

Hey everybodyz! Hopefully I'll be pluming-in my duetto soon, so I don't have to worry about it much longer, but I'm wondering how often I should clean out/rinse out the water reservoir (while in reservoir mode, of course) to keep from having any issues? Since its located under a shelf, it's proving ...

Wooden Accessories

Hello loves! I'm wanting to find wooden accessories for my new Duetto (mainly the knobs), but for the life of me, can't find where to buy them online, even though I see a lot of other members here with them on their machines... where do you guys go for these things?

How good of a grinder do I need for Aeropress?

OMG, people are always trying to skimp on grinders! This is probably the 3rd post trying to convince their-selves that they don't need a good grinder I've seen tonight. LOL. The better the grinder, the better the coffee. Instead of saying "Well, I'm not making espresso, so I don't really need a good...

Cheap grinder good enough for Mypressi Twist?

Thanks everyone! Very helpful. I might see if my mother is willing to hand-grind and just get the Hario Mini Slim... I'm just worried that she'll say yes because it's a cheap alternative, but see it as too much trouble in the end... well, I guess having to get her an additional grinder after that is...

Cheap grinder good enough for Mypressi Twist?

Now that I've got my Duetto, I'm going to pass on Mypressi Twist to my mother. She's super excited about it, but I can't talk her into purchasing a good grinder (or should I say, my father). I would love to get her a baratza vario, but I just don't know if I'm prepared to drop that kind of cash
