New espresso machine for a home setting, 2-4 shots each morning, an Americano/espresso in evening

"Cheap" is relative when you consider that the BDB only has a one year warrantly, has no way to extend that warranty that I have seen, that only Breville Service Centers can work on the machine and none of the big retailers can repair it, you cannot clean the machine yourself and have to send it off...

Does a "GOOD" electric drip brewer exist? Technivorm? Bonavita?

BTW, I am still chuckling at this one - forget all the rest, the part about getting a sales commission is especially *nasty*. LOL! Cuz ya know that would be the worst insult you could give someone on a forum that is paid by sponsors and exists to advertise coffee equipment. What a particularly

Does a "GOOD" electric drip brewer exist? Technivorm? Bonavita?

See what happens when someone says anything *not* rosy about a product? It was evidenced earlier in the thread when some tried to input the TV was not a great unit... ... I went out and found out that for myself, and now being attacked for posting the TV is not a product built to a standard to

Does a "GOOD" electric drip brewer exist? Technivorm? Bonavita?

You don't agree, so attack the person... nice touch, kind of troll-like. Sorry if you don't agree, but no need to get wrapped around the axle. Just offering the other side of the coin; not everyone will agree with your assessment. These forums are more valuable if buyers get both pros and cons, not ...

Does a "GOOD" electric drip brewer exist? Technivorm? Bonavita?

Thanks all for providing inputs - in the end I chose the Behmor Brazen due to it's features and perceived higher quality build / materials. And it makes outstanding coffee... yes, I can safely say that with under 100 posts!! I did not get a chance to see the Bonavita in person

Does a "GOOD" electric drip brewer exist? Technivorm? Bonavita?

Regarding the Technivorm - never used one either, but I was commenting on the cheap materials that went into the build, all the "plastic parts" that fall all over the counter when you touch it, how it is touted to last for years with said plastic parts, and the fact they are charging $299 for the pr...

Does a "GOOD" electric drip brewer exist? Technivorm? Bonavita?

No, not bashing, offering opinion and counterpoints to what I observed with the Technivorm... just like anyone else. Sorry if you chose the Technivorm and don't agree, but I understand, don't like the message, so attack the person. And there is no insinuation, if someone pays $299 for a Technivorm, ...

Does a "GOOD" electric drip brewer exist? Technivorm? Bonavita?

Now, $78 I would pay for the Technivorm. But $299? Guess there is one born every minute. The same way many on this forum call the Silvia, Rocky overpriced and past their time, the Technivorm fits that category perfectly. Plus, I wonder how many people who own an older version of

Any places in Atlanta where espresso machines are on display?

Yeah, you and me both... I live in Tempe, AZ and all I have seen in person to date is a BDB at Williams Sonoma... but I am patient and travel for biz, so I will have more opportunity. Good luck!

Any places in Atlanta where espresso machines are on display?

My guess is that all good options to see a machine lineup like Chris, SCG would start by driving to the Atlanta airport... and then flying to the aforementioned destinations
